I’ve got a new crush!

Handsome, hunky (The New York Post dubbed him as “The Best Biceps on Broadway”) , talented, actor, singer, dancer and super-homosexual Nick Adams has made it on Broadway!  You could say he is practically a Broadway babe!  And if you don’t say he is – I will! Yummmy, yum yum!

Nick, like myself, started out as a small town boy!  “The Great White Way” is a long way from his native town of Erie, Pennsylvania. He began his rise to the top, like most male actors, as a chorus boy. Eventually, he broke it big by landing one of the lead roles in the wildly successful “Priscilla: Queen of the Desert.”  Adams ADORES being part  of the high energy, disco-infused musical that audiences were so fond.  Cue: STARDOM!

But it ain’t all rainbows and sprinkles for this sexy showtune king.  The former Catholic high schooler has a seriously devoted side to him – one you see in his ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS.  The editors of A & U (October 2011) made him the cover boy to let him tell his story, like participated in fundraising events like Broadway Bares, a fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

His most striking individual fundraising effort (an idea he got from his older brother) was to offer backstage tours of “Priscilla” for $500 donations or more. He used only Twitter and his own web site with immediate and astounding results. Putting his heart into everything he does, Adams gets a little emotional in the retelling,

“Every day it would jump over a thousand dollars and before I knew it, it was over twenty grand. The tours were more like the backstage ins and outs of  Priscilla, and my dressing room!”
